Why do ENLACE?

ENLACE 2013 -Service & Learning Program for 16-20 year olds!

The next Enlace program is booked for July 21- August 21, 2013.

 

The purpose of Enlace is to build awareness and transformative relationships by living in community and working alongside Guatemalan partners.

Enlace provides eye opening and transformative experiences for youth. Highlights of the program include:

  • Connecting with Guatemalan people and culture
  • Learning Spanish
  • Helping with re-constructive and development projects
  • Living with indigenous families while learning about the history and injustice
  • Participating in kids’ camps
  • Taking in the natural beauty of Guatemala through activities such as hiking, caving, visiting volcanos.

 

The Enlace program is an investment, the program costs each participant approx. $3500. This amount is raised through fundraising activities within a group and individually.

 Enlace is a unique program in which global relationships are established. Issues of justice are wrestled with, ideas of the church are broadened and North American perspectives and lifestyles are challenged
