SALT
This is a one-year program for 18 to 27 year-olds that will take you almost anywhere in the world. Depending on where you go, you might be blazing a new trail by yourself or working and living with fellow SALTers. What kind of assignments do you get? How aboutenvironmental program coordinator in Tanzania? Or science and math teacher in India? The list goes on.

TOOLS
Toronto Opportunities for Learning and Service.
This 'urban plunge' takes you into the core of Canada's biggest city to connect and learn from Toronto's homeless people in a way that preserves the dignity of all involved. It can be as short as a day, or as long as a week, this is a must for youth-groups and adults alike.

Those programs above are specifically for you. But let's be honest... there are lots of great things going on that are not specifically made for youth and young adults. In fact, I think one of the goals of many of the above programs geared towards a younger crowd is to encourage further involvement in the larger mission of MCC and the Church. So for those of you looking to get involved locally, check out these volunteer opportunities with MCC Ontario.
Long(er) Term - There are many incredible longer term (usually 3 years) assignments available. We need you to fill these positions, to keep MCC a "people-strong" organization that nurtures person-to-person relationships (not money-to-person!). If you are a young adult (or a not-so-young adult, for that matter!) with a heart to serve, these are amazing opportunities.
If you are interested in learning more about MCC and opportunities to get involved please be in touch with Allan Reesor-McDowell.
