New Hamburg Mennonite Relief Sale Fundraising Dinner

Monday, April 28 at 6:30 pm
Bingemans, 425 Bingemans Centre Drive, Kitchener, N2B 3X7

Eileen Henderson, Restorative Justice Coordinator at MCC Ontario will be speaking.  Restorative justice looks beyond a traditional view of justice, which tends to focus on who is guilty and what is their punishment, to who has been hurt and what are their needs? Victims, the larger community and offenders all factor into the work of restorative justice. Eileen will share stories of where she has seen hope and restoration through comforter knotting at Grand Valley Institution for women, in responding to the needs of seniors who have experienced elder abuse, and in walking with men and women returning to the community after incarceration.
